Getting from the airport

From the North Bus Station you need to take a taxi to Carob Hostel. Follow the steps below to get from the airport to Carob Hostel
- Outside the airport exit you will find a bus ticket office. Tell the ticket office assistant you want to go to the North Bus Station.
The ticket price should be 3.25 JOD. They only accept cash payments and sometimes doesn’t have change so make sure to have smaller amounts of money.
The bus is located next to the bus ticket office. - There are two main stops on the way from the airport to the city. You should get off at the North Bus Station, which is the final stop.
We recommend you use offline maps to know when to get off (the driver can mislead you with the stop in order to get commission from taxi drivers). - From the North Bus Station to get to Carob Hostel, the best option is Uber. In case you don’t have access to internet there are regular taxi cars. Regardless, the cost should be 2-3 JOD, no more.
If you’re taking a regular taxi, ask for taximeter. By law, the drivers must use the meter. As you can see in the picture, on the taximeter there are three digits before the dot. This makes some people think it shows the price of 385 JOD or 38.5 JOD but in fact, this is 3.85 JOD. Give no more than 3.85 JOD.
If they start complaining, you have two options: give 3.85 JOD to the driver and leave OR take a picture of the meter (and driver if possible) and tell them you will report this to the police.
Avoid giving the driver large bills, as they may not have change and could claim you gave them a smaller bill.
