The hike from Dana to Petra is a world-class trek, named one of the top fifteen hikes globally by National Geographic. It winds through the stunning Dana Reserve and ends at Petra, the iconic Nabatean city carved into the rocks—an unforgettable blend of natural beauty and ancient history.

Day 1: Dana Village to Wadi Ghuweir.
Distance: 17 KM
Time: 6–8 hours
Terrain: Gradual downhill through rocky trails and wadis
Your adventure begins at Dana Village, with sweeping views over the Dana Valley. The trail descends through green terraces and scenic mountain paths. Along the way, you may encounter ibex and birds of prey.
We continue toward Wadi Feynan, known for its ancient copper mining history. Here, we will visit a Bedouin family for lunch, learn about local culture, and then continue across open desert landscapes toward Wadi Ghuwier.

Overnight: Bedouin camp with Showers and Toilet. Included.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 2: Wadi Ghuweir to Alshoubak
Distance: 14 KM.
Time: 6–7 hours.
Terrain: Canyons, water pools, shaded gorges, and lush vegetation.

Today we enter Wadi Ghuweir, one of Jordan’s most beautiful and lesser-known canyons and hidden gems. The trail winds through towering sandstone walls, narrow passages, and flowing water. Expect sections where we walk through shallow streams and under hanging gardens.
This canyon offers a mix of refreshing shade, natural waterfalls, and colorful rock formations— making it one of the most memorable parts of the Jordan Trail. After finishing the canyon we will have small transfer 15 minutes to our place.
Overnight: Guest House in top of mountain. Included Meals; breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 3: Wadi Ghuweir to Ras Al-Feid.
Distance: 17 KM.
Time: 7–8 hours.
Terrain: Steep ascents and descents, rocky paths.

This section is one of the more challenging, passing through rugged landscapes and spectacular rock formations. You’ll climb and descend through dramatic valleys and remote terrain with unforgettable desert views.
Overnight: Wilderness camping at Ras Al-Feid. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 4: Ras Al-Feid to Little Petra
Distance: 20 KM.
Time: 7–8 hours.
Terrain: Rolling hills, desert plateaus, rocky paths.
Today the trail brings us closer to Petra. We pass by Bedouin camps and nomadic goat herders before reaching Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), home to Nabatean ruins and carved facades. Explore this beautiful and quiet archaeological site.
Overnight: Bedouin campsite in Little Petra rooms with shared showers and toilets. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 5: Little Petra to Petra (via The Monastery)
Distance: 13 KM
Time: 6 hours
Terrain: Rocky steps and ancient paths
Enter Petra through a hidden back route that avoids the crowds. The trail leads directly to The Monastery (Al-Deir) — one of Petra’s most awe-inspiring monuments. From there, explore the Royal Tombs, the Theatre, the Siq, and finally the world-famous Treasury (Al-Khazneh).
